Sustainable thermal insulation materials

With the correct structuring of (waste) biomass materials, thermal insulation with a low eco-impact can be created that still has good thermal performance. Examples of such approaches are the use of (waste) wheat bran from the milling industry and banana peel to create thermal insulation boards [1] or thermal insulation made from algae waste.
