Advancing Spectroscopy while Mastering State-of-the-Art Analytical Instrumentation
At the Advanced Analytical Technologies (Lab 502, Department for Mobility, Energy and Environment), we develop methods for the chemical characterization of materials, which are of interest to the industry, society and science.
By using our state-of-the-art instrument-pool we investigate, e.g. particulate and/or chemical compounds, e.g. in emissions associated with mobility or industrial activity. In particular we develop methods for persistent organic pollutants and their environmental impact. Further, we have a strong interest in the trace level analysis, e.g. in the micro-electronics or thin film photovoltaics.
Chemical research that aims also innovating and pushing the limits of state-of-the-art spectroscopy. For instance, we develop unique extreme ultraviolet lasers, e.g. utilized in projects on artificial photosynthesis, nano-chemistry, semiconductor defect inspection, and bio-medical.
