Prof. Matthias Sulzer is a senior scientist at the Urban Energy System Lab at Empa. He also teaches at ETH Zurich and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. In addition, he holds an appointment at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the USA. At the beginning of his career, Matthias Sulzer studied building systems engineering at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and completed his master's degree at the Universities of New South Wales and Sydney. Since then, he has implemented many entrepreneurial and innovative ideas. Today, he conducts research in the field of urban energy systems and supports various start-ups.

Kurzlebenslauf
Prof. Matthias Sulzer ist leitender Wissenschaftler im Urban Energy System Lab an der Empa. Er lehrt auch an der ETH Zürich und der Hochschule Luzern; zudem hat er einen Forschungsauftrag am Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in den USA. Am Anfang seiner Laufbahn aber stand ein Studium in Gebäudetechnik an der Hochschule Luzern, welches Matthias Sulzer mit dem Master an den Universitäten von New South Wales und Sydney abschloss. Spätestens seither setzte er viele unternehmerische und innovative Ideen um, heute forscht er auf dem Gebiet der urbanen Energiesysteme und unterstützt verschiede Start-ups.
