HEAT PUMP

For domestic hot water and space heating an air source to air heat pump is installed, serving as heating unit and ventilation. The heat pump has a normal power consumption of 285 W and a thermal output of 970 W resulting in a coefficient of performance (COP) of 3.4. A domestic water storage tank with a volume of 200 litres is directly included in the heat pump unit.

Heat pump operation

In the heat pump process the domestic hot water is initially heated followed by the heating of incoming fresh air. The heat pump incorporates an out bound air to fresh incoming air heat exchanger in order to improve efficiency.
