Dr. Feifei Xiang
Feifei Xiang received her Ph.D. in Physics from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (Germany) in 2020. During her doctoral study in Prof. Dr. M. Alexander Schneider's group she mainly focused on studying self-assembly and possible chemical reactions of organic molecules on cobalt oxide films with various thickness by using a home-built scanning tunneling microscopy device. After that, she worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Prof. Dr. Sabine Maier's group where she fabricated functional carbon allotropes by using on-surface synthesis, and characterized their electronic properties by scanning tunneling spectroscopy. In April 2021, she joined the nanotech@surfaces Laboratory at Empa as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Her focus is on studying electronic and magnetic properties of hybrid graphene nanoribbon structures.
