Please note: Applicants for doctoral positions in the Advanced Processing and Additive Manufacturing of Metals group (Dr. C. Leinenbach) must have a good understanding of the fundamentals of materials science and materials processing. Since the PhD students will be enrolled in the doctoral program in materials science (EDMX) or advanced manufacturing (EDAM) at EPFL, they are recommended to first apply to the doctoral school at EPFL before reaching out to us. Successful candidates are typically required to have (or be close to receiving) a master's degree. Serious candidates are encouraged to take their time familiarizing themselves with the research we do in our group, and to explain in their application how their experience and interests can fit into this framework.
