Advanced imaging is essential in musculoskeletal research, offering detailed insights into the structure and function of tissues through high-resolution 3D visualizations. Our work in advanced imaging focuses on unveiling the intricate details of musculoskeletal structures and their pathological changes. We utilize state-of-the-art imaging techniques, particularly X-ray-based modalities such as micro-CT and nano-CT, to generate high-resolution 3D visualizations of bones, ligaments, and fibrocartilaginous tissues. These technologies allow us to explore the structural complexity of musculoskeletal tissues at both the micro and nano scale, providing unprecedented insights into their organization and function. A significant focus of our research is investigating the vascularization and blood supply of musculoskeletal tissues, aiming to better understand their healing mechanisms. Complementing the imaging, we employ histological analysis and comparative microscopy to validate and deepen our findings. This combination of methodologies enables a comprehensive understanding of tissue health, integrating 3D imaging with cellular-level observations. Additionally, we merge imaging data with biomechanical analyses to study the interactions and mechanical forces acting on ligament structures. By understanding these dynamics, we aim to uncover how physical stress influences tissue health, recovery, and regeneration. These advancements in imaging and analytical technology are critical for diagnosing conditions more accurately and tailoring treatments to the specific needs of patients
