The MOTIVATE protocol for the validation of computational solid mechanics models enables the comparison of large fields of predicted data with measurement data using image decomposition techniques. This protocol has been applied together with the calibration procedure for digital image correlation developed in MOTIVATE to an aircraft cockpit under pressurisation loads.
