Lorenzo Valzania

Lorenzo Valzania holds a PhD in Physics, obtained in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. T. Feurer (Institute of Applied Physics, University of Bern) and Dr. E. Hack (Transport at Nanoscale Interfaces LaboratorySwiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology), working on the development and implementation of coherent lensless imaging techniques using terahertz radiation. In 2015 he completed a Master’s degree in Engineering Physics from the Polytechnic University of Milan (Milan, Italy), working on simulations of X-ray diffraction contrast tomography experiments at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF, Grenoble, France), supervised by Dr. W. Ludwig. His research interests include full-field optical measurement techniques, phase retrieval algorithms, terahertz imaging, spectroscopy and photonics, and X-ray tomography.
