Tien Nguyen

Research interest

My research goals are directed toward understanding of fundamental aspects of macromolecular science including structural formation, property and structure-property-processing relationship, relevant both in the area of biobased polymers, synthetic polymers, blends, composites and respective bio-medical applications.

My recent works are focused on designing and developing a novel material having “smart” properties (e.g., stimuli-responsive, shape memory, self-cleaning, and self-healing) based on electrospun polymer nanofiber encapsulated hierarchical structure of lipid nanoparticles explored by combination techniques of X-ray scattering and electron microscopy.
