I am a PhD candidate at the center for X-ray analytics. My BSc is in atomic and molecular physics, where I worked on laser induced breakdown spectroscopy. My MSc is in optics and laser physics, during which I worked on interferometric phase-contrast microscopy methods setup development in the visible region. Currently, I am interested in multimodal X-ray imaging for biological applications and precision medicine. I investigate propagation-based micro-computed tomography 3D virtual histology as a complementary method for conventional 2D histology of Follicular Thyroid Carcinoma. This approach has the prospect to simplify workflows, rendering whole block analysis efficient and ensuring that samples can be subjected to further molecular analyses.
