Qiang Sun received his Ph.D. in 2017 from Tongji University (China), where his research focused on on-surface chemical reactions and the design, synthesis and characterization of low-dimensional carbon nanostructures, mainly investigated by the interplay of ultra-high-vacuum STM imaging and DFT calculations. Thereafter, he joined the nanotech@surfaces Laboratory at Empa as Postdoc.
