Empa is a member of Advance.

Advance aims at increasing the share of women in leading positions in Switzerland. A program, involving different types of workshops, helps the member companies of Advance to reach their gender diversity objectives. The workshops (skill building, connect@advance, best practice exchange) are held either as webinars or on site and most of them are available to all Empa personnel from all fields of work.

'Skill building' workshops:

Target audience: For women in middle management (group leaders, department heads, members of the board).

Topics: Work-life balance, improving leading skills, improving self-confidence, deal with conflicts etc.

'Connect@Advance' workshops:

Target audience: For everyone (men and women) employed at Empa.

Topics: Keep up your power, make home working work, maintain personal wellness in times of lockdown etc.
