1. Submitting abstracts

Deadline was on January 31, 2001. 160 Abstracts from 25 countries were submitted.

2. Final versions of regular contributions (full papers)

Deadline for the final versions of regular contributions was on June 30, 2001. The layout is determined by the formatting guidelines (example: pdf format, rtf format, doc format) of the Metropolis Publishing House.

3. Final versions of posters

• The poster should not exceed the size of 120 cm (width) x 180 cm (height).
• All posters should be put up on Wednesday, October 10, between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m.
• Please stick an open envelope on the lower right corner of your poster where interested persons can leave their business card.

• Send us a pdf version of your poster in the size of 21 cm x 30 cm (A4 vertical format) when printed 1:1.
• Your pictures have to be included in uncompressed format, with a resolution of at least 300dpi, in the pdf file.
• All fonts you use have to be embedded in the pdf file.
• We will print it in the size of 84 cm x 120 cm (A0) on a high quality color plotter and put it up for you.
• We recommend that you follow the structure and layout of our example:

• Please leave some room at the lower right corner (10.5 cm x 13 cm, horizontal format) for an envelope where interested persons can leave their business card, as shown in the example. We will stick on the envelope.
• Posters will not be edited or converted in any way.
• No other formats than pdf will be accepted.
• The deadline for submitting pdf posters to the conference secretariat is August 31, 2001. Please understand that we cannot process a poster unless at least one of the authors has registered for the conference.

• Please indicate on your poster one or more time slots when you or one of your co-authors will be on the spot to answer questions, as shown in the example.
• Your poster will be mentioned including title, authors, their affiliations and a URL for further information in the conference proceedings if you send us these details before August 20, 2001. At least one author must have registered to the conference by that time.
