Measuring Sites

The air pollution in Switzerland varies depending on the topography as well as the population distribution. The stations are located throughout the country. Each measuring site is classified according to its type (see below) and there is more than one measuring site for each type. An exception is the high alpine site at Jungfraujoch, which represents the background of the lower free troposphere in the central European region.
