The software OGIP is developed for environmental assessment of buildings. It links buildingparts with ecological indicators, which are based on Life Cycle Analysis (LCA). This allows a quick and uncomplicated assessment according to the line of the LCA methodology. The LCA unit of the Empa's Technology and Science Laboratory was commissioned by the swiss CRB with the revision of the background data used. The actual version of OGIP now is updated with the newest data from the ecoinvent database.
