Environmental legislation and controls are insufficient and economical situation and distribution of incomes does not assure a sustainable growth of the communities surrounding the mining industry and workers themselves. Exploited metals are normally transported to industrialised countries for final treatment and come back as final product for consumption.

- Identify the critical processes from the gold mining industry in Peru that cause social and environmental impacts.
- Publication und dissemination of the results in the concerned industries (i.e. Peruvian Metallic minning Industry).
- Establish a valid Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) dataset in an exchangeable formate (EcoSPOLD).
