Inhalt:
| | This seminar will focus on the development and commercialization of the Rapid Carbothermal Reduction (RCR) process for the synthesis of ultrafine non-oxide ceramic powders. Solid powder precursors are reacted in seconds at temperatures near 2200 K to produce submicron particles directly.Typical powders range in size from about 100 to 400 nanometers. The seminar will focus on the development of processes to produce boron and beta-silicon carbide early studies, reactor selection, kinetics, and transport issues. |
