Environmental Acoustics

The Environmental Acoustics Group of the  Acoustics Laboratories investigates outdoor sound propagation. Measurement and prediction procedures are developed to determine the noise annoyance due to road traffic, railroads, shooting ranges and military training grounds. The center of attention currently lies on the problem of sound propagation over long distances.
